A blind man turned to face me
\nand the Buddha in the back of a truck
\nI don’t know why he chose to grace me
\nwith a look
\nbut it stuck<\/p>\n
And the Buddha said,
\n‘Don’t follow me’
\nAnd the blind man said,
\n‘Then set me free’<\/p>\n
There’s a buffalo in the basement
\nand a paddy at the bar getting drunk.
\nHe said, ‘If they don’t find a replacement
\nwith my luck
\nI’ll be sunk.’<\/p>\n
And the barman said,
\n‘I’m seeing red
\n‘Cause I’ve just been told
\nmy tiger’s dead.
\nAnd my freehold over the ocean’s
\ngone to seed.’<\/p>\n
There are angels under the arches
\nand every one of them wants to fuck.
\nAnd the legless man as he lurches
\nin the dark
\ntries his luck.<\/p>\n
And the angel says,
\n‘You can marry me.’
